Poker hands sometimes offer a draw to a player that keeps the poker online player betting into the pot. Perhaps the hand could complete to a straight or a flush. These situations can be dangerous though because sometimes the card that completes your hand might give a better hand to an opponent, and cost you a lot of chips. Always analyze what the best possible online poker hand could be based on the board texture before you act when you hit one of your outs to the draw. For instance, you are on an open-ended straight draw with 9-J and 10, Q, 2 rainbow appear on the flop. Out comes a Jack on the turn, giving you top pair with the open ended straight draw. You bet with eight outs, looking for the King or 8 to complete your straight. The river brings the 8, and your opponent bets. With your straight complete, you are tempted to raise. But stop, and think before assuming your poker online hand is the winner. Can any other hand beat your straight? Can your opponent be holding A-K to make a higher straight? Perhaps you are on a heart flush draw, and the river completes your flush with a card that pairs the board. You then must consider whether your flush may be up against a full house or even quads. When your drawing hand completes, be sure the miracle card is not in fact a disaster for your hand.

If you are like me, you host a comfortable poker game every so often for your nearest and dearest friends. The guys come over, you play a few hands, have a few snacks, and everyone goes home happy. This is the old fashioned version of poker online night, the new version involves complicated satellite games and tournament style showdowns with buyins worth more than the odd case of beer a guest would bring. It’s big business now to host poker nights, and the hosts are making a pretty penny off the game.
It is considered normal now to charge a buy in fee for players before they can play. In an honest game, every single penny in the buy in ends up on the table. In a shady establishment, however, the buy in can end up padding the pockets of the host. I would strongly warn you not to fall into this temptation.
More than simply staining your conscience, charging for poker night can land you in jail. Profiting off of the game is in direct violation of the gambling rules in some states. You would be liable to legal persecution for profiting off of poker. Stay away from the problem altogether and organize a casual game among friends. You will have more fun anyway.

In tournament poker, such as Texas Hold ‘Em, the clock is constantly ticking, and players become acutely aware of time restraints as the blind continue to go up. The timed intervals become part of the contest - being able to continually grow your stack as the blinds elevate each round at the casino
Some crafty poker players exploit this aspect of the game to their own purposes. For instance, a player who has been bluffing and been called, will sometime hesitate to act, even though a fold is the only recourse. The player will hedge and stammer, acting as if the bluffing hand was genuinely strong. Not only does this delay the game while the blind clock is ticking; it is also a ruse for putting other players on tilt.
A player who takes a long time to decide what action to take is said to be in the “tank.” Sometimes it is completely legitimate - perhaps a player with a set is facing a bet on a flush scare card. There is no penalty for this, and if a player takes too long, other players at the table can call for the “clock” to force the player to make a decision within a certain amount of time.
If you’re at a table where one player abuses the tank - continually delaying the action with slow decisions, then don’t hesitate to call for a clock. And when you’re faced with a tough decision, don’t be afraid to go into the tank yourself to think things through before deciding what to do with your hand.

For those of you out there who may be married, you may often wonder about how to integrate you passion for online gambling into a marriage. Online gambling, especially if you are doing so professionally, requires you to sit for long hours at a computer with no distractions. Distractions, like your lovely spouse, can interrupt your poker playing and make you play less profitably. The dynamic between the openness of your marriage and the privacy of your career can be very trying on your relationship.
If you have ever struggles to find this balance, don’t worry. You are not alone. In fact, about 70% of all online poker players are married. This means that the large majority of players that you will meet online are in the same boat as you. Like you, they need to find a way to balance their life between the professional and the personal.
Online poker players who are married should seek support in communities of likeminded individuals. Online chat forums are a great location to air any problems that you may be having. Forums also give you a chance to realize that other people may be having the same problems. The most important thing for married players to understand is that other people have found a way to make their marriage and their gambling habits work together. You can find this balance as well.

Whoever is responsible for inventing Texas Holdem gave us a great game. In no other game have the forces of randomness and skill come together in such an elegant dance. It has been said by many people that Texas Holdem is the perfect poker game. While this is certainly a statement that is just as much about opinion as fact, there is truth that Texas Holdem poker is perhaps the single most popular poker game on the planet. While the way the cards are dealt and the fact that every player at the table is trying to make something work from the same set of cards, one of the unrecognized heroes of Texas Holdem is the burn card.
The burn card is the card that is discarded just before one of the cards on the board is flipped over. The reason this mechanic is so important to Texas Holdem is that it helps break up the odds of the game and bit which leads to a more competitive game. Imagine for a second, a Texas Holdem hand without burning the burn card. The chances of a pair increases dramatically, as does the chance of suited cards. The reason for this is that when cards are shuffled there is almost no way to make sure the cards are actually evenly split. This means that in Texas Holdem and any other card game, the chances of pulling cards that were next to each other exist. Thus the burn card helps control this chance and thus keep the game on a much more even playing field.
For a fun experiment play ten hands of Texas Holdem without burning any cards. Then after those ten hands, play the next ten hands of Texas Holdem with the burn card. Chances are you will notice a big difference in the outcome of not only each hand, but the total game as well.

When you play poker, do you think only of your own chip stack, and nothing else? No, I’m not talking about the other player’s treasure, I’m talking about the dealer! Do you tip him out? Do you think you should?
Obviously I’m not talking about online poker here, but live event poker, the real thing. The dealer is there to serve the players their cards, and I think we should reward him or her for their efforts.
The winner of the game should definitely pay out the dealer with a chip or two to show appreciation, especially if the pot was a big whale of a pot. What’s $50 or $100 when you just raked in a cool $50,000 in a high stakes game? Trust me, the few fast food meals you just sacrificed by not saving $100 to tip the dealer are better left uneaten.
Like restaurant tipping, don’t let a bad casino experience sour the tip you give a dealer, either. Unless he’s the one swearing at you or pouring drinks on your head, don’t punish him for the foibles of a bad casino. Block all that out, and give the dealer a tip. Who knows, he could be the one that makes the final call on whether you get a sweet comp or not.

Many states in the United States of America tend to get extremely chilly especially in the winter months. Besides really warm clothing, we all crave for indoor heating or better still lighting a fire which gives far more natural and desirable heat as well. This is exactly what fire pits are meant for. Fire pits provide natural heat by lighting up a fire in your garden or any open space or maybe even in your living room! Not everybody can go in for a chimney. Numerous people live in flats or just don’t have the right house structure to fit a chimney, but just about anybody can go in for a fire pit and surprisingly they don’t cost a bomb either. Fire pits can be bought under 200$!
Fire pits are available in different designs and of different types and off course accordingly satisfy different tastes and are priced differently. It isn’t that there aren’t expensive fire pits available. Sure, there are, those which cost in excess of 2500$ too! The good news is that is somebody doesn’t want to invest in fire pits or wants a more challenging task at hand, then it is very well possible to make fire pits at home itself by getting the required material as in bricks etc. Just build a fire pit and get ready to enjoy some real heat!
